OPPO Reno3 A launched with 6.44-inch display, SD665 and 48MP quad cameras


The rumor mill had speculated in April that the OPPO Reno3 A mid-range phone will be made official soon in India. OPPO India has not announced the device yet. However, the Japanese wing of the company has discreetly launched a new phone called OPPO Reno3 A. The handset has arrived with a price tag of 39,800 Yen (~$372) in Japan.
 
The OPPO Reno3 A has 160.9 x 74.1 x 8.20mm dimensions and weighs around 175 grams. The Reno3 A has a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel with teardrop notch that offers 1080 x 2400 pixels Full HD+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. The Chinese firm claims that the phone offers a screen-to-body ratio of 89.9 percent. The display supports DC dimming and is safeguarded by Gorilla Glass 5.
 
It has an f/2.0 aperture 16-megapixel selfie camera. The backside of the phone has a triple camera unit along with LED flash and EIS support. It comprises of an f/1.7 aperture 48-megapixel main lens, an f/2.2 aperture 8-megapixel ultrawide lens with 119-degree field-of-view, an f/2.4 aperture 2-megapixel macro sensor, and an f/2.4 aperture 2-megapixel depth assist lens.
 
The ColorOS 7.1 based Android 10 OS runs on the OPPO Reno3 A. The phone draws power from a 4,025mAh that comes with fast charging support. The Snapdragon 665 is the processor that powers the Reno3 A.
 
The Reno3 A is equipped with an in-display fingerprint scanner. The other specs available on the device are dedicated microSD card slot, dual SIM slot, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, NFC, USB-C, and 3.5mm audio jack. Lastly, the Reno3 A is an IP68 rated dustproof and water-resistant smartphone.
 
The Reno3 A is priced at 39,800 Yen (~$372) for the 6 GB RAM + 128 GB storage model. OPPO is not selling any other variant of the phone in Japan. The handset will be available for purchase from June 25 in gradient white and black color editions in the country.
