Among radical changes that were made in the field of business registration following the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev’s decree on “Some measures to be implemented in the field of rendering e-services by state bodies” was the introduction of system of electronic registration of private enterprises in 2011.
As a result of measures successfully implemented in this field, this system has been yielding positive results. Thus, 22,624 or 65.8 percent of 34,373 private enterprises have been provided with Taxpayer Identification Numbers (TİN) after submitting their applications in electronic form.
This information was provided to ICTnews by the Ministry of Taxes of the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the ministry, this year changes have been made to a number of legislative acts in order to start the electronic state registration of limited liability companies with local investments.
75 legal entities were registered in this way by July 01, 2012. As a result of measures implemented by tax administrations in order to insure the registration of physical persons and legal entities conducting business activities without being registered at tax administrations, 360 persons have been registered by tax administration under the 33rd clause of the Tax Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
