According to the decree the main functions of the center will include monitoring and organization of work in the field of robotics military special and dual-use and to ensure the implementation of its functions entrusted to the Foundation for Advanced Studies.
The same decree the head of the country has made robotic systems of military special and dual purpose of the priority directions of development of science technology and engineering in the Russian Federation. Currently the Russian Armed Forces developed various types of robots of several classes including unmanned aerial aapparaty submarine and terrestrial robots.
