Around 100 audio books, sound tracked at a professional level, were put at listeners’ disposal by the speaking library.
The speaking library offers listeners audio books in 8 literature genres - verbal, modern, foreign, poetry, historical, religious, children and classic.
One can apply to the speaking library through a special phone service (1541), which operates round-the-clock in automatic mode.
The user can stop listening to the book and after a while, continue listening to it from the exact place where he stopped the book.
People show more interest in Speaking Library for Visually Impaired People
To date, 2,154 people have applied 29,313 times to Speaking Library for Visually Impaired People, which was created by the Data Processing Centre of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies at the initiative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.Most of the requests were made for modern, classical and historical literature.
