“The Ministry of Communications and High Technologies provides comprehensive support to the contest, which was organized on the initiative and order of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. This support, alongside with awarding prizes to winners, includes provision of technological assistance to the contest. The national intellectual online contest “I am Azerbaijani” is broadcasted by Azerbaijan’s state TV channel, AzTV, every Sunday at 19:00 and rebroadcasted every Wednesday at 19:00.
Each week a winner is selected among 10 participants of the contest. During the next stage, the winners of 10 weeks compete with each other. Based on the results of this stage of the contest, 4 winners are selected for the finals. Then, based on the results of the finals, the winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places are selected.
The Ministry of Communications and High Technologies’ awards prizes (mainly notebooks) to the winners of all stages of the contest. During the contest, participants are asked questions about innovations implemented in the ICT sector. They are also asked questions regarding the launch and operation of Azerbaijan’s national satellites and the formation of the e-Government,” she said.
Note that the national intellectual online contest “I am Azerbaijani” is held online. Under the terms of the contest, any person between the ages of 15 and 29 can register for the contest at the website “www.mzproduction.az”. The applicants, who have passed the registration procedure, are allowed to take part in the contest after checking their intellectual level. More than 4000 applications were submitted for participation in the contest this year.
It should be noted that the online version of the national intellectual online contest “I am Azerbaijani”, which was organized in connection with the 90th anniversary of the National Leader Heydar Aliyev and with the support of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies, aroused a strong interest among internet users. Thus, 231 416 people participated in the contest within 6 months.
After completion of the online contest organized by MCHT, the mobile version of the national intellectual contest “I am Azerbaijani” was launched. Despite being the winless version of the contest, “I am Azerbaijani” mobile app was downloaded more than 100 000 times.
200 people win national intellectual online contest ‘I am Azerbaijani’
So far, 200 people have won the national intellectual online contest “I am Azerbaijani” held with the support of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies (MCHT).
