Acceptance of applications for those wishing to win the Azerbaijan Innovation Award, established to support the players of the local ecosystem has begun. In general, the process is aimed at enabling the country to join the leading states in the global innovation ecosystem under the motto “Innovative Azerbaijan”.
The composition of the Organizing Committee of the Azerbaijan Innovation Award, functioning on a voluntary basis, held for the second time, has been approved by the central executive body – the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies, which implements state policy and regulation in this field.
The project takes into account each player in the ecosystem as a whole using the Quad-Helix approach, based on the principle of state – academy – business – society. Thus, successful initiatives implemented by players are assessed by independent jury members in a transparent, impartial manner, without commercial interest.
Within the framework of the project, the most enterprising, active companies, projects and individuals in the field of innovation during 2019-2020 will be awarded.
Two more nominations were added to the Azerbaijan Innovation Award held last year in five nominations. This year’s competition is held in the nominations “Startup of the Year”, “Influencer of the Year”, “Innovation Event of the Year”, “Innovation Project of the Year”, “Innovation Ecosystem Representative of the Year”, “Innovation Ecosystem Support of the Year” and “Leading Presenter for COVID-19 Solutions”.
To participate in the competition, one has to register at this link. Application deadline is September 20.
