Innovation Agency under Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies received $ 2 million grant

The Innovation Agency under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies held an online meeting with the participation of authorized representatives of the head office and representative office in Azerbaijan of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA). The purpose of the meeting was to determine the minutes of the meeting for the future implementation of the project “Strengthening innovation potential through the development of a roadmap for innovation policy in Azerbaijan” proposed by the Innovation Agency . The event was also attended by local and Korean experts.
 
Within the framework of the project, it is planned to prepare an innovative master plan in Azerbaijan, implement a pilot project and strengthen human resources in the relevant field. To implement the project, KOICA has allocated a grant of $ 2 million to the Innovation Agency.
 
This project will contribute to improving the efficiency of innovation policy and the process of its implementation, as well as to the development of a sustainable innovation system in Azerbaijan. The project is planned to be implemented in the period of 2021-2024.
 
It should be noted that the Innovation Agency under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies provides support to the areas of activity that relate to the non-oil sector. In order to ensure a stronger and more sustainable economic activity, the Agency plans to implement projects aimed at applying innovations at the level of both private sector and government agencies.
