The transition from analog broadcasting to digital broadcasting in the country began in 2009. Tests in this regard in Baku began in September 2004.
New television station to be built in Baku
A new station is planned to be built in Baku to promote broadcast of digital television.“Teleradio” production association said this in a statement. It was noted that the number of TV channels aired in the capital will be raised from 12 to 22 after the novelty is introduced.The digital broadcasting will cover the entire republic till the end of the next year. But for now this will cover Baku and Absheron peninsula, Ganja, Shirvan and Lerik cities. The transition from analog broadcasting to digital broadcasting in the country began in 2009.
