Azerbaijan trading standards’ e-database expands
The State Committee on Standardisation, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan continues to work on the formation of an electronic database which includes standards, certification regulations and other normally used documents, chairman of the Committee Ramiz Hasanov said in an interview published on Wednesday.
He added the Committee approved 77 standards in 2011. "In 2011, for the purpose of adopting state registration, the Committee worked out and adopted 26 food industry standards, 15- in the petrochemical, five in the field of electrical engineering, two in the transport sector, nine on ecology, five for construction and 15 for other uses," Mr Hasanov said. As many as 217 new types of measuring devices were approved last year.
"They were all included in the State Register of measuring instruments," said Mr Hasanov. He said in 2011 the Committee issued certificates for 1250 trademarks, patents for 111 inventions, 43 industrial designs and nine useful models.
