Azercell Telekom deploys 4G network
Azerbaijani mobile operator Azercell Telekom announced the deployment of the 4G network Long Term Evolution (LTE) in Baku. LTE technology has been chosen as a core technology of the fourth generation.
Company head Ali Agan said that it is important to render this service during the Eurovision-2012 Song Contest in Baku. Up till now, the fourth generation network covered only the territory of Baku. Some Hot-Spot stations are used in the Seaside National Park. They will ensure 4G communication.

4G includes the technologies that allow transferring data to users in mobile networks at speeds above 100 Mbit / s and to stationary ones - 1 Gbit / s that is 10 times more than in 3G networks.
The advantage of a fourth generation network is its high speed internet access and the ability to exchange three-dimensional content and viewing HD content.
The cost of the USB modem supporting 4G standard will be 149 manat. A monthly fee for unlimited use of the Internet is 45 manat with the first month being free. LTE access points have been mainly deployed in Baku today. By the end of the year they will have doubled.
