New technologies allow to make more investments in production of alternative energy
The volume of the capital invested made in the production of alternative energy amounted to $222 billion in 2011. According to information provided by ICTnews, by the end of 2015 this figure will reach $420 billion.
The ‘Pike Research’ company, conducting research activities in this connection, thinks that the large amount of investment in alternative energy can be explained by high results achieved in developing new technologies, increase of oil prices in resent years and negative impact made by carbon emissions to the environment.
Investments are made both in production and retention of alternative energy. At present, most of the investment in production of the alternative energy is made by the EU states, the US, Japan, Australia and the Republic of South Africa. These countries’ experiences show that the alternative energy reduces dependence of the country on traditional resources of energy (oil, gas, coal, nuclear energy) and stimulates economy of electric energy.
