Minister visits place of construction of Azerkosmos’ Main Earth-Based Satellite Control Center
Constriction of the Main Earth-Based Satellite Control Center for operating telecommunication and surveillance satellites is scheduled to be completed before launching the first satellite into orbit in Azerbaijan. At present, experts from the US’s ‘Orbital Science’ company, which built a telecommunication satellite for Azerbaijan, and Azerbaijani experts are installing special equipment at the Satellite Control Centre.
In this connection, the Minister of Communications and Information Technologies Ali Abbasov together with representatives of the ‘Orbital Sciences’ company and Canadian ‘Telesat’ company, which carries out technical supervision of the construction of the telecommunication satellite.
