Working Group preparing State Program for promoting linguistics holds next meeting
The Working Group, created for the execution of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan’s decree on ‘The State Program for promoting linguistics in Azerbaijan and using Azerbaijani language according to the modern requirements of globalization’, has held its next meeting.
The activity was attended by the members of the Humanitarian and Social Sciences Section of the Working Group, heads of Scientific Education Centre and representatives of the press-service of the Azerbaijan National Scientific Academy (ANAS).
The Working Group consists of the experts of the linguistic institute of ANAS, Baku Slavic University, Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University, members of the Nakhichevan Division of ANAS and Ganja Regional Scientific Centre, and representatives of the relevant state bodies, including the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies, the Ministry of Justice, the Baku Municipal Executive Power, the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Licenses, the National Television and Radio Council, Azerbaijan Writers Association, the Press Council, the Presidium of ANAS.
This information was provided to ICTnews by ANAS. According to the academy, the meeting, chaired by the academician-secretary of the Humanitarian and Social Science Division and corresponding member of ANAS Kamal Abdullayev, discussed proposals made by members of the Working Group in connection with the execution of the presidential decree. The issues related to the preparation of the State Program were also discussed at the activity.
