Tourists to be issued electronic visas in Azerbaijan
It has been proposed to simplify issuance of electronic visas to foreign tourists arriving in Azerbaijan. The statement came from head of the tourism sector at the Culture and Tourism Ministry of Azerbaijan Aydin Ismiyev. Work in this direction is already underway, but it is not known yet when visas will begin to be issued. It depends not only on the Culture and Tourism Ministry. To apply this innovation, it is necessary to create a new automated system and compile new forms, Ismiyev said. "After introduction of electronic visas tourists will be able to submit their documents to the embassies and consulates through Internet and get an answer in 15 days," the Ministry official said.
