Citizens will soon be able to send MMS through their house telephones
“Baku residents are now able to send MMS through internet payphones,” told ICTnews.az deputy director general of Baku Telephone Communication Production Unit Khankishi Kishiyev.
According to him, USB service might be also used for sending MMS. “It is also possible to take a photo by the camera and send it to the required address. In future, citizens will be able to send MMS through their house phones.
This will be possible after installing servers at the network and providing subscribers with special telephone sets. Work is currently underway by Aztelekom Production Unit to allow citizens to use their house phones for sending SMS via Aztelekom’s network.”
It is worth mentioning that in 2009, following the contract signed by Aztelekom PU and GSM operators (Azercell, Bakcell, Azerfon), Aztelekom launched a new service, which enabled its users to send short messages.
