MICROSOFT INNOVATION DAY TOOK PLACE IN BAKU
- Microsoft Azerbaijan Innovation Day was held on March 6, 2013 at the Four Seasons Hotel. "Innovation Day is an annual event, dedicated to the latest innovations developed by the company and information about improvements, additions and benefits of new products.
This year, such a global, annual event coincided with the Year of Information and Telecommunication Technologies”, said the General Manager of Microsoft Azerbaijan, Rufat Hajialibayov. During the event, the importance of holding the Innovation Day in the Year of Information Technology was mentioned in the speech by Elmir Velizade, deputy minister of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technologies.
Technology adviser at Microsoft Russia, Maxim Bocharov presented new products to the end user and also the New Windows 8 Office and scenarios of its use in enterprise and cloud technologies. "I believe that the new Microsoft products enable mobility, working from anywhere, and on any device", said Bocharov.
Technology consultant at Microsoft Azerbaijan, Gachay Mirzoyev, in his turn, spoke about the features of Windows Server 2012, created at Microsoft innovative, as well as the System Centre 2012 product, a concept to manage information technology infrastructure. "Cloud technology is a new stage of evolution after the virtualisation message centres, based on the joint use of these products," - said Mirzaev.
As part of the Innovation Day, Microsoft unveiled the latest products, as well as reported on the development plans in Azerbaijan in the Year of Information and Telecommunication Technologies.
Speakers made presentations on the benefits and new features of the latest Microsoft products, namely the Windows 8 operating system, the productivity of the New Office, MS System Centre 2012 and MS Windows Server 2012.
