Azerbaijani mobile operators determine profitability of e-signature identification service
The Data-Calculating centre of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies is currently conducting negotiations with mobile communication operators over the introduction of mobile signature.
According to information revealed to “ICTnews” online news service by the Data Calculating Centre (DCC), the negotiations are now being focused on technical and financial aspects of the introduction of this novelty. “Presently, we are holding talks with Azerfon, Azercell Telekom and Bakcell companies. All of the 3 operators are willing to introduce mobile signature identification to their networks.
Private companies always take a particular interest in the profitability of new services.
Therefore, the mobile operators are now adopting international methods of determining fees and tariffs for using this service.” It should be noted that in Russia mobile operators charge 10 $ for writing e-signature on a SIM-card. Subscribers will not have to make any payment for replacing a common SIM-card with a cryptographic card, and this will put subscribers off changing their networks.
