Serious measures have been taken for development of e-Government in Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan continues to take steps towards the development of the e-Government. A significant amount of work has already been done in the country in the direction of organization of efficient management, insuring of transparency, expansion of coverage and application of electronic services and elimination of bureaucratic obstacles. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies has released the e-Government Bulletin outlining prospects for development of the e-Government.
According to information revealed by “ICTnews’ online news service, all electronic services rendered to the population by state agencies will be fully integrated into the “e-Government” portal. The information also says that personal identification numbers will be applied in order to insure effective exchange of information between information systems and databases, exchange of information will be carried out through the e-Government portal, authentication mechanisms will be improved in order to strengthen protection of information and application of services offered by the e-Government portal will be expanded.
At the same time, various enlightenment and propagation activities will be carried out to raise the people’s awareness on electronic services.
