Volume of information and communication services increases by 18.2 percent in Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic
In January-June, the volume of information and communication services in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) exceeded 20 million manat, which is 18.2 percent more than the same period of last year (in 2010 the volume of services amounted to more than 17 million manat ), NAR Permanent Representation in Baku said.
Some 86.5 percent (in monetary terms - 17.3 million manat) of the total volume fell to non-state communications enterprises. The volume of communication services provided by private enterprises increased by 19.9 percent compared to the same period of the last year. As a result of six months of the year, enterprises of the Communications and IT Ministry of NAR provided services worth more than 2 million 593,800 manat, or 7.9 percent more than the same period of 2010. The number capacity of public telephone networks increased by 1,073 units in January-June.
