Simon Clegg: The inaugural European Games would not achieve its goals without Ministry of Communications and High Technologies

As the dust starts to settle after the highly successful inaugural European Games in Baku it is time to reflect on what we have achieved together as one team. Individuals from across the globe have joined with thousands of Azerbaijanis and tens of thousands of volunteers to create history both for Azerbaijan and European sport.
The phenomenal achievements of the Baku 2015 European Games are also a reflection of the great dedication and enthusiasm which the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies have brought to this historic event. The inaugural European Games would not achieve its goals without your own personal support and that of all your Ministerial colleagues.
It was a pleasure to see you again earlier today and I am truly grateful for your generous gift of the commemorative gold coin, carpet and honorary diploma. These beautiful gifts will serve as a reminder of the invaluable support that you and your Ministry provided BEGOC in the planning and successful delivery phases of the inaugural European Games.
I wish you all the best for the future, thank you for your personal support and friendship and I hope that our paths may cross again in the future.
