PC shipments fall by a record 10.4 percent in 2015
The volume of the global shipments of personal computers (PC) in 2015 saw a fall of 10.4 percent compared with the previous year.
Manufacturers shipped around 276.2 million personal computers in 2015, reported Kyodo news agency on Wednesday quoting market research firm IDC.
In the fourth quarter last year the PC industry experienced the biggest drop in sales in its history.
According to the agency, PC sales are still being hurt by the popularity of smartphones and tablets. Experts say consumers rarely change their existing PCs.
