Minister: Azercell, Bakcell to receive license for 3G service
Azerbaijani mobile operators Azercell and Bakcell have been instructed to finalize the technical work to prepare its network to launch 3G services, Communications and IT Minister Ali Abbasov said on Monday.
In the near future, these operators will receive licenses to deploy the third generation network - 3G, Abbasov said. At present, only one operator - Azerfon - provides 3G service in Azerbaijan.
