Kaneka created batteries that are charged up to 100 times faster than any existing analogues
A unique battery with ultra-fast speed of charging was developed by Japanese Kaneka Corporation, together with the Technical University of Aichi. According to the developers, the batteries are recharged up to 100 times faster than any existing analogues.
The inventors say that the novelty is applicable for any electronic gadgets, from car batteries to smartphones. The rate of recharge depends on the type of electronic device. For example, a mobile phone can be fully charged for just 10 minutes.
The inventors claim that such a high speed is maintained even after 5000 cases of charging and that batteries themselves do not wear out during this time. This effect was achieved through the use of carbon nanotubes. Kaneka promises that the battery will be available at the market within the next 5 years, the Runet reports.
