Winners of Azerbaijan National Internet Award NETTY 2016 announced
The winners of Azerbaijan National Internet Award NETTY 2016, which is held with the support of the Ministry of Communications and High Technologies, have been announced.
Note that earlier a voting of the Experts Board and the Virtual Jury was held to identify nominees for the award.
On May 8, based on the results of the voting of the Expert Council (Council selects three nominees in each of the nominations) and the Virtual Jury (Jury selects three nominees from the total number of participants in the nomination "Choice Network") the NETTY Academy held its own voting to determine one winner in each of the nominations.
Within this period, a voting for the selection of nominees for non-competitive and incentive honorary awards was also carried out.
Finally, a ceremony of awarding the winners of Azerbaijan National Internet Award NETTY 2016 took place at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Baku.
The ceremony was attended by representatives of major IT-companies of the country, award nominees, media representatives and numerous guests.
Addressing the event, Deputy Minister of Communications and High Technologies Elmir Velizade noted that NETTY has been successfully held in Azerbaijan for more than 10 years. He said that the competition was one of the factors stimulating the development of internet - resources. Deputy Minister congratulated the nominees and wished them success in their future activities.

Founder and director of the company Golden Pay, Farid Ismailzade, was announced the winner of the honourable nomination "For contribution to the development of domestic information technologies".
The introduction of "The system of acceptance of electronic customs declarations for clearance of goods and vehicles" by the State Customs Committee was declared to be "The IT-event of the year".
NETTY Award - the first prize in the field of information technology, founded in 2004, was created to promote the national segment of the World Wide Web and the IT market as a whole.
