Xiaomi Mi6 And Mi6 Plus Latest Updates: Fresh Leak Reveals Devices Amazing Specs And Features
Xiaomi is expected to launch a duo of powerful flagships this April, in the form of the Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus. Up until now, rumors regarding the two phones have been somewhat contradictory, with some claiming that the smaller phone will sport an SD821 CPU, instead of the latest 835 chip, but a fresh new leak spewed out by the Chinese blogging sphere says otherwise, and it may be our first detailed look at the guts of the Mi 6 and Mi 6 Plus.
According to a specs spreadsheet leaked on Chinese microblogging site Weibo, the Xiaomi Mi 6, which is the smaller of the two, will indeed be powered by Snapdragon's latest CPU, which is very good news for the device. Further than that, the Mi 6 is tipped to sport a 5.15-inch Full HD display (1080 x 1920), backed up by either 4GB or 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM (depending on variant) and a non-removable 3200mAh battery.
According to the sheet, the Mi 6 will sport a 19MP primary camera (with an output resolution of 5056 x 3792 pixels) and an 8MP front shooter. The rear-facing camera is rumored to feature a Sony IMX400 sensor, which is Sony's latest, and can be currently found in the Sony Xperia XZs and the Sony Xperia XZ Premium.
The Xiaomi Mi 6 Plus, on the other hand, will be the bigger of the two, with a 5.7-inch display that's surprisingly said to have the same Full HD resolution as the one on the compact Mi 6. Supposedly, the Mi 6 Plus will also feature Snapdragon's latest chip, backed up by 6GB of RAM and a hearty 4500 mAh battery. According to the specs sheet, the phone will run MIUI 8 that's based on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, while the more compact offering will come with a version of MIUI 8 that's based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow.
As far as photographic abilities go, the Mi 6 Plus has been long rumored to feature a dual-cam setup on the back, which the leaked sheet confirms. However, the leak at hand suggest that the primary camera on the Mi 6 Plus will feature a 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor (like the one found on the ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom and the Vivo Xplay 6), which, if true, is likely just one of the two. Xiaomi may have decided to use two different camera sensors in the Mi 6 Plus, but we'd be surprised if one of them wasn't the IMX400 that will allegedly grace the Mi 6, or at least something comparable.
