Apple plans to use a new type of connectors in mobile devices
The patent published a few days ago refers to the use of a new connector not only in smartphones, but also in other mobile devices, such as smart watches. This is not the same connector that can be found in iPad Pro.
According to the description, the connector must be in special self-healing material, which would penetrate the connector of the cable when connected to the smartphone.
After disconnecting the cable, the material would restore its shape, and there would not be any holes left in the case.
Similarly, connection can be made in smart watches.
Another new Apple patent describes an electronic device that resembles iPhone, but only in a ceramic case.
So, electrically active components can be built into the ceramic case.
Perhaps, the case of the device should be sensitive to touch, 4PDA reports.
