Azercosmos starts the second stage of “Promotion of earth remote surveillance services for the sake of sustainable development of Azerbaijan” project
Azercosmos OJSC has started the second stage of the "Promotion of earth remote surveillance services for the sake of sustainable development of Azerbaijan" project.
The main purpose of the project is to promote the use of images obtained from Azersky satellite in the country and to stimulate the development of earth remote surveillance services in Azerbaijan.
Research institutes, universities and other organizations engaged in scientific research activities, as well as legal and physical persons can present their proposals to the project till 31 July 2017.
By September 29, 2017, Azercosmos OJSC will provide the authors of the winning proposals with images received via Azersky satellite in accordance with the requirements specified in their proposals.
The evaluation of the projects will be carried out based on such criteria as creative use of the data received from Azersky in the project and feasibility of the proposal, meeting the scientific purpose of ensuring the sustainable development of the country, and innovativeness.

Azersky satellite images are intended for wide use in such areas as the building of electronic agriculture and monitoring of agricultural products, cartography; mining, infrastructure and monitoring operations; updating of inventory data; investigation of pollution on land and at sea; security and defense.
