“Baku Telephone Communications” PA can built modern telecommunication network in new seaport
According to information provided to “ictnews” by the deputy general director of “Baku Telephone Communications” PA Khankishi Khankishiyev, the association can create a high quality telecommunication infrastructure in the international seaport, which is being built in Alyat settlement.
“Presently, the association is carrying out construction of optical cable line in the southern direction of the capital in order to provide residents with high quality telephone and multimedia services. The cable line will be extended from Baku up to Alyat settlement, including Sahil, Umid, Sangachal Terminal, Sangachal and Gobustan settlements.
After stretching the optical cable line from Alyat to the new seaport, we can build there a modern information and communication network.
The optical cable line, which is being built in the southern direction, meets the latest requirements, and can provide the new seaport with high quality services,” he added.
Let’s note that according to the schedule, construction of the new international seaport will be performed in 3 stages, and must be completed by 2015.
The first stage envisages construction of 3 cargo enclosures and 2 ferries for accepting ordinary dry cargo ships and “ro-ro” type vessels.
The second stage envisages construction of 3 more cargo enclosures, and the third stage – 2 others. The Seaport can receive up to 11.6 million tons of cargo.
Let’s note that this seaport in Alyat will be multimodal one, which means that, apart from the material and technical center, creation of free economic zone there is planned.
