Panasonic unveils a new explosion-proof tablet
Panasonic at the event in Moscow announced the Toughpad FZ-G1 mk4 ATEX tablet, designed for use in the harshest conditions.
The device has an explosion-proof design. The computer is certified in accordance with the ATEX directive (hazardous area 2) and the requirements of the Customs Union. When used in a special protective case and with closed ports, the tablet is guaranteed to not give a spark when working in potentially explosive environments.
The tablet computer is resistant to water and dust (IP65) and can withstand falls from a height of up to 180 cm. The operating temperature range extends from minus 29 to plus 60 degrees Celsius. The gadget was tested in an independent laboratory to comply with UL 1604 Classl, Division 2, MIL-STD-810G.
The WUXGA (1920 × 1200 pixels) screen with a diagonal of 10.1 inches is characterized by high brightness (up to 800 cd / m2).
The Core i5-6300U vPro processor is used, which contains two computational cores with the possibility of simultaneous processing of four instruction flows. The nominal clock frequency is 2.4 GHz, the maximum is 3.0 GHz. Graphics processing is done by the integrated Intel HD Graphics 520 controller. The amount of RAM is 4 GB (optional – 8 GB).
The tablet has a built-in configuration slot, which can be integrated into the client's request: a LAN module, a barcode reader, a microSD slot, an additional USB port, a GPS / GLONASS receiver, a smart card reader.
The tablet uses the Windows 10 Pro operating system. Unfortunately, the price is not reported.
