IDC makes forecast for IT market
IDC analysts made a forecast for key trends in the information technology (IT) market in 2018 and subsequent years.
According to experts' expectations, by 2021 at least 50% of the world GDP will be associated with digital technologies. The investment attractiveness of companies will largely depend on the implementation of platforms and ecosystems, the value of data and the degree of customer involvement.
Researchers believe that in three years more than half (60%) of companies will have digital transformation strategies and will have started implementing them.
The next IDC forecast assumes that by 2021, world expenses for cloud services, as well as the infrastructure for their deployment will double to exceed $ 530 billion. In more than 90% of cases, the business will use several clouds.
By 2019, 40% of digital transformation projects and 75% of enterprise applications will use services related to artificial intelligence (AI). More than 90% of consumers will apply to chat-bots, and more than 50% of industrial robots will be connected to the AI-systems.
