Volume of ICT services jumps in Azerbaijan
The volume of ICT services provided to organizations and people amounted to 883.1 million manat in Azerbaijan in January-September, which is more by 11 percent compared to the same period last year, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said.
Thus, 73 percent of the figure falls to services rendered to population. Some 62.5 percent of revenues fell to mobile service, which increased by 3.4 percent over the same period of 2010.
The State Committee also notes an increase in the rate of production of ICT equipment in the country. Thus, computer, electronic, optical and electrical equipment in the country was produced at 118.7 million manat in January-September 2011.
A 4.1-percent growth was observed in the manufacture of electrical equipment, including in the production of power transformers - by 18.1 percent. The production of television sets in the country increased by 2.1 times.
Finished goods in the amount of 9.4 million manat have been in stock, which made 33 percent of the total reserves of production of industrial enterprise
