A single center for combating cybercrimes launched in Tokyo
A single center for combating cybercrimes has been launched in Tokyo, according to TASS.
The center, which operates under the Tokyo Police Department, will employ 500 investigators and analysts.
Formerly, experts on virtual space crimes worked in different police units and security services.
Now they will be brought together in the single center in order to intensify the fight against the growing number of such crimes.
According to the Kyodo news agency, more than 3 million cases of thefts or attempted thefts of computer information, including personal data, were registered in Japan in 2017, Belta.by reports.
