Registration for “NETTY 2018” started
The process of registration for participations in Azerbaijan National Internet Award "NETTY 2018" has started.
NETTY Award, which was launched in 2004, is held annually to identify and award Azerbaijan’s best web resources and individuals who have contributed to the development of the information technologies field.
Acceptance of applications for participation in the Award will be carried out on the website www.netty.az from April 15 to May 15, 2018.
A voting by the Expert Council and the Virtual Jury will be held from May 15 to May 22 to determine the nominees of NETTY 2018.
On May 22, the NETTY Academy will start voting to determine the winners among the nominees.
The "Virtual Jury" is formed from Internet users. The users who have registered on the website www.netty.az via social networks can become members of the jury and participate in the selection of contest nominees.
The Virtual Jury selects three nominees from the total number of participants for the nomination "Virtual Jury's Choice"
The Expert Council is formed by the personal invitation of the Organizing Committee of the Award and is represented by specialists in the field of design, programming, marketing, journalism, etc.
The Expert Council selects three nominees from each nomination.
The Netty Academy is represented by influential people working in the public, government and business structures of Azerbaijan.
The Academy determines the winner of the award for each nomination.
Traditionally, the contest will announce the best web resources in Azerbaijan in the following nominations: "Azerbaijan", "The state website", "Education and science", "Art and culture", "Society", "Information and news", "Service website", "Corporate website", "The best project in the field of e-commerce", "Sports", "Personal website", "Virtual Jury’s choice", "The best Facebook page".
Applicants will have to pay a registration fee for all major nominations.
The winners of the nomination "Mobile App of the Year" and honorary nominations "Enrichment of National Information Technologies" and "IT Event of the Year" will be also awarded within the contest.
The winners of "NETTY 2018" will be officially announced at a solemn award ceremony.
The winners of NETTY 2018 will receive the main prize (the "Netty" figurine) at the official awarding ceremony. All the nominees will be invited to the awarding ceremony. The date and place of the ceremony will be announced later.
This year the contest is held with the official support of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
The company "NAR" is the chief partner of the award. The Data Center of Azintelecom is the gold partner of NETTY 2018.
The exhibition Bakutel, the companies Mi Mobile, Carlsberg Azerbaijan, SmartHost, KATV1, Golden Pay, the project De Jure and the web agency Renley.az are the official partners of the award.
Infocity.az, CBC.az, Sputnik.az, Oxu.az, Media.az, Salamnews.org, Dejure.az. are the information partners of the project.
Note that NETTY Award is Azerbaijan’s first professional award in the field of information technologies.
