Samsung Galaxy Note 9 could come with 8GB of RAM and 512GB storage
Samsung is reportedly planning to launch its Galaxy Note 8 phablet in August. As per news reports, Samsung could launch a variant of the Galaxy Note 9 with 8GB of RAM along with 512GB storage. This information was first revealed by a tipster who goes by the name of Ice Universe. There could an affordable version of the Galaxy Note 9 which would offer 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Samsung is expected to include a microSD card slot (with a capacity of 256GB) in all variants of the Galaxy Note 9.
One of the biggest ‘surprise’ feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 that was widely speculated is now said to have been dropped. We are talking about the on-screen fingerprint scanner. According to a report by Forbes, it is “almost certain” that the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will not come with an on-screen fingerprint sensor like the Vivo X20 Plus UD. Instead, the Note 9 will house a regular fingerprint sensor at the back.
The report further added that the next flagship Galaxy S10 smartphone could feature an on-screen fingerprint sensor, as it would be the tenth anniversary of the flagship Galaxy series. Earlier, it was reported that Samsung was almost confirmed to launch the Galaxy Note 9 with an on-screen fingerprint sensor.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 has also appeared recently on Geekbench database as 'SM-N960U', which is assumed to be the US-based model. The benchmark showed the smartphone running Android 8.1.0 Oreo and powered by a 1.77Ghz octa-core processor, which could be the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor. The listing also showed 6GB RAM. The new Galaxy Note 9 is expected to superior camera performance along with an improved S-Pen stylus. For those unaware, last year in October, a report talked about how the company has already started working on improving the S-Pen in the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note device.
