Moto Z3 Play image leaks show the phone and a 5G Moto Mod
New images of the Moto Z3 Play have made their way online. They show a Motorola-branded phone that allegedly has a 6-inch 2160x1080 AMOLED screen with slim bezels. There's also said to be an 8MP camera above that display.
Around back there's said to be a dual 12MP camera setup, and like other Moto Z phones, this Z3 Play has a set of connector pins to allow for the use of Moto Mods. Inside the Moto Z3 Play is said to be an octa-core Snapdragon 636 processor, 4GB of RAM, 32/64GB of storage, and a 3000mAh battery. Finally, the phone's fingerprint reader is on the right side of the display, a move that allows for the screen to grow while keeping the same form factor for Moto Mods.
Meanwhile, a separate image leak from XDA-Developers claims to show the Moto Z3 Play with a 5G Moto Mod. The module looks to be pretty thick and has an antenna sticking out from its top, and at the bottom we can see the 5G logo that was unveiled earlier this year.
It's unclear when Motorola might actually launch the Moto Z3 Play, but WinFuture.de suggests that it'll debut on June 6th. It's unclear when that 5G Moto Mod might launch and which networks it'll support, but if you want to get in on 5G early without waiting until next year or later to buy a new phone, the Moto Z3 Play could be worth considering.
