AzInTelecom holds hackathon
AzInTelecom LLC under the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies will hold a hackathon competition within the framework of the international Innovation Week to be held in Azerbaijan for the first time on October 26-30. The competition entitled Hackathon-AzIn 2018 will be held on October 29-30 with the support of High Technologies Park.
AzInTelecom, which offers its customers services such as Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) within the data center, has identified the provision of Software as a Service (SaaS) as one of its main strategic goals for 2019. The purpose of the hackathon is to search for talents who can develop such solutions.
The first stage of the competition to be held in three stages will take place on October 29. The participants will be given relevant assignment on the topic. At the second stage, they will work on programming and presentation of the assignment. On October 30, the winners will be determined according to the results of the evaluation of the level of assignment.
Hackathon is a team game in which like-minded people come together and perform coding of their innovative ideas. During the competition, the participants within 24-48 hours should find and submit new solution to the given assignment.
Moreover, this competition provides an opportunity for specialists (participants) to promote themselves, present their projects, and for investors and companies to involve talented youth in their teams. Those wishing to participate in the competition can register at hackathon.azintelecom.az.
The winners of the two-day competition will be awarded prizes by AzInTelecom. The team that won the first place will receive a prize of 5000 AZN, the second - 3000 AZN and the third - 1000 AZN.
In evaluating the presented solutions, criteria such as logic, design, functionality and innovation will be taken into account.
