DPC signs memorandum with South Korea’s largest ICT company
The Data Processing Center (DPC) of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan has signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation with Samsung Electronics.
On behalf of the Azerbaijani side the memorandum was signed by Director of the Data Processing Center of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Elnar Asadov and on behalf of the Korean side – head of Samsung Electronics representative office in Azerbaijan Jae-Hoon Lee.
The main purpose of the agreement is to strengthen and develop cooperation between the parties. Pursuant to the memorandum signed as a result of meetings and negotiations held in September of this year, organizations will jointly carry out activities in the field of developing innovative solutions and software.
The memorandum envisages cooperation in the following areas:
- Development and implementation of software products for Samsung mobile devices;
- Development and implementation of electronic document management system based on Samsung mobile devices;
- Development and implementation of joint solutions through Samsung’s KNOX mobile security platform;
- Development and implementation of mobile electronic signature solutions for Samsung mobile devices;
- Providing remote control of settings for Samsung mobile devices and mobile applications.
As part of this cooperation, a special platform for the AzDoc program, prepared and applied by local specialists, is already being developed. The AzDoc program is a new tool that provides implementation of document management in enterprises and organizations electronically. The program is already being used in the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies. And in the future, all state-run organizations will be able to work with this program. The AzDoc fully complies with the law “On Electronic Signature and Electronic Document” and workflow management instructions. In this program, it is also possible to sign documents with an electronic signature.
Thus, DPC together with Samsung realizes the implementation of digital signatures through the KNOX mobile security platform. The new platform, which will be improved, will allow users to read and sign documents anywhere.
On the basis of this memorandum, DPC together with Samsung will be able to switch to the development of innovative software, in particular, remote control solutions, the concept of “Internet of Things”. Moreover, as part of this cooperation, the parties will exchange experience on building a sustainable ICT infrastructure and safe integration of ICT systems. In the framework of cooperation, the user will also be able to maximally optimize the process of recognition and transfer of signed documents in authentication systems.
