Azerpost connects to another international payment system
Azerpost LLC of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies is connecting to another international payment system. Thus, a memorandum was signed between Azerpost LLC and the Russian company Digital Payment on connecting to the Sendy payment system.
Note that at present, the number of users of the Sendy payment system, owned by Digital Payment, exceeds 5 million. More than 70 thousand legal entities are clients of this system. And now Azerpost clients will also be able to use it in Azerbaijan.
The partnership between Azerpost and Digital Payment will create an opportunity to form mechanisms enabling customers to carry out payment and remittance transactions with the use of national currency. These mechanisms will not be limited only to Azerbaijan. They will also be applied to Russia, China and Asian countries.
Under the memorandum, Sendy will supply Azerpost with its software and integrated equipment, and this will contribute to the expansion of application of innovative digital mobile payment technologies in our country. This will also reduce the interest rates for non-cash transactions for trade and service enterprises, provide convenience in the use of financial services for all customers and create conditions for increasing the level of security.
The primary objective of Azerpost LLC is to create a universal payment space in the national currency, expand financial services for its clients and its partners’ clients using the latest mobile technologies and, in particular, to increase boundless transfers.
Today, two types of businesses are rapidly developing in the world. They are the smartphone-integrated online trading system and the digital payment system. Postal agencies give preference to the inexpensive services that use QR code-based mobile digital applications. The postal system of Azerbaijan has also been integrated into the international trade and delivery system, which complies with this principle.
