Azerbaijan represented at meeting of coordinators on innovation policy index for EaP countries
A workshop on “Promotion of innovative, fast-growing enterprises in Eastern Europe and the Caucasus” took place in Minsk on March 5-6. The workshop was organized by the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE).
Also, a meeting of coordinators (Focal Point) on innovation policy index for the Eastern Partnership (EaP) countries was held today with the organization of UNECE.
The meeting held at the Academy of Management under the President of the Republic of Belarus was attended by national coordinators for the innovation policy index, representing 6 Eastern Partnership countries (Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Moldova, Belarus and Armenia) for the innovation policy index.
In his speech, head of Department of Innovative Development of Information Society and Electronic Governance of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies Rashad Azizov, who attended the meeting as a national coordinator, spoke about the current innovation policy in member states, as well as the work done in assessing the coordination between government bodies acting as stakeholders of innovation policy, encouraging and supporting innovative ideas.
It should be noted that the objective of the project “innovation policy index for Eastern Partnership countries” is to assess the scope and quality of innovation policy, innovation institutions and processes in the countries of Eastern Europe and the Caucasus.
