Trainings on development of girls and women’s ICT skills will be held in Azerbaijan
A social project called “’Digital Girls’ - National Training Program” has been launched in Azerbaijan by ICT Applying & Training Center with the support of UNESCO and the Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The goal of the project is to eliminate digital gender inequality, develop girls and women’s ICT skills and support their personal development.
Within the project, 300 girls and women will participate in three-day digital knowledge trainings conducted by instructors from ICT Application and Training Center.
The training participants, along with gaining computer technology knowledge, will acquire personal development skills, and will learn how to apply these skills to achieve success. In addition, they will get acquainted with the possibilities of building a successful career in the ICT field.
The trainings will be organized in Baku and 5 cities of the country.
In order to expand the scale of the “Digital Girls” - National Training Program and increase the opportunities for involving a larger number of girls and women in the trainings, other organizations will also be allowed to participate in the project.
The project will be completed within one year.
