Huawei P Smart Z Announced – The First Pop-Up Selfie Camera Phone from Huawei
After the under-display fingerprint sensor penetration, the pop-up selfie camera seems to be in for smartphones. Huawei has announced its first phone with the pop-up selfie camera – Huawei P Smart Z.
Like other pop-up cameras around, the Huawei’s new model also have a similar front camera hidden into body. For the same reason, the new Huawei P Smart Z also gives a real full-view screen – dubbed as ultra full-view display.
The camera automatically extracts from the body when you need it, and it only takes less than a second to go down when you are finished with it. Huawei claims that the pop-up mechanism of its camera can bear up to 12kg (~26.5 lbs) of pressure and would work after 100,000 cycles.
Features wise, the front camera has a 16MP image sensor inside while there is a dual-camera on the back with 16MP sensor coupled with another 2MP depth sensor.
Thanks to the pop-up selfie camera, P Smart Z features an ultra full-view 6.59-inch display without any notch or cut-out. The display serves with full HD+ resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels.
The Huawei P Smart Z comes with a single memory configuration that is 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Running Android 9 Pie and EMUI 9 on top, the P Smart Z features a 4,000mAh battery.
Inside, the Huawei P Smart Z packs the Kirin 710 processor’s modified version, dubbed as Kirin 710F. With a slight difference in packaging, it’s literally identical to the original Kirin 710 in performance.
The Huawei P Smart Z comes in three color variants, blue, green, and black. It’s currently available in Italy and Spain for EUR 279 (~USD 312, or ~PKR 44,000). You will be informed when the phone gets out of the limited regions and available around you.
