Scientists from the Russian Federation and Israel have developed an algorithm allowing robots to reduce time to complete a task by 20%
Russian scientists together with their colleagues from Israel have developed a new algorithm for planning the optimal trajectories of robots. Algorithm allows robots to reduce the time to complete the task by 20%, which exceeds most of the world's analogues.
The problem of safe navigation in the confined space of many mobile agents, which include robots, is now very relevant. For example, many large companies are switching to automated warehousing when goods are moved by robots. So, there is a need to create algorithms for their safe and fast movement. One of the approaches is based on planning the shortest safe trajectories, following which robots can avoid collisions and spend a minimum amount of time.
The researchers proved the effectiveness of the algorithm in the course of experiments in which the number of participating robots varied from 4 to 20, according to tass.ru.
