MTCHT to work in accelerated regime on holidays
The Ministry of Transport, Communications and High Technologies (MTCHT) has given relevant instructions to subordinate bodies, associations and telecommunication agencies and country’s telecom operators to ensure the population at the proper level with transport, postal, telecommunication services, including internet access, mobile services, and radio and TV broadcasting during the days of Gurban Holiday (Festival of Sacrifice).
On pre-holidays and public holidays, with a view to ensuring the continuous operation of fixed telephones, home phones will not be disconnected for debt or other reasons. Moreover, all appropriate measures will be taken for prompt consideration and resolution of appeals received.
On holidays, duties will be organized and relevant measures will be taken to ensure the population with uninterrupted and quality transport, telecommunications services, radio and TV broadcasting, promptly eliminate damaged cables and lines, execute the operating schedule of post offices, suspend preventive, construction and installation work, as well as strengthen the protection of communications facilities.
During holidays, service center “Shebeke” No.1 will operate from 09:00 to 18:00, the remaining eight “Shebeke” centers will operate from 10:00 to 17:00.
Intercity transportation and the Baku International Bus Terminal will work in an accelerated regime. Additionally, with due consideration of the density of passenger traffic, required number of buses will be in service.
