China successfully launched four experimental satellites
On Thursday, China launched four experimental satellites into orbit. This was reported by the China Corporation of Aerospace Science and Technology (CASC).
According to her, the launch was carried out at 05:07 local time (00:07 Moscow time) using the Changzheng-2D launch vehicle (CZ-2D) from the Sichan cosmodrome in southwestern Sichuan.
“This is not just a one-time successful launch, because it was carried out at a special time when all of China decisively struggles with the spread of a new coronavirus. <…> It testifies that our corporation is in fact making all necessary efforts in accordance with important orders of Chinese President Xi Jinping,” stressed the chairman of the board, secretary of the CASC party committee Wu Yansheng.
As noted in a widespread statement, the launch of spacecraft into orbit was carried out in compliance with all the precautions necessary to prevent the spread of the virus. This launch was 326th for the Changzheng launch vehicle and 46th for the CZ-2D.
The PRC is actively developing the national space program, developing meteorological, telecommunication and navigation satellites, as well as technologies for the exploration of the moon.
In addition, Chinese scientists are implementing a project to study asteroids and Mars, which they will begin to intensively study the surface in 2020-2025.
