LG launches world’s first TV Roll: Signature OLED R costs $ 87,000
LG Electronics (LG) today ushered in a new chapter in the evolution of smart TVs today, October 20, 2020, with the launch of the world’s first roll-up TV panel, the Signature OLED R.
The TV is based on an OLED matrix. Due to its flexibility, the display can be rolled up and completely hidden inside the base, made in the form of a rectangular parallelepiped.
The screen measures 65 inches diagonally. The resolution is 3840 × 2160 pixels, which corresponds to the 4K format. The innovative device has a high refresh rate of 120 Hz.
Signature OLED R is available in three modes – Full View, Line View, and Zero View. In the first case, users get a full-fledged TV for watching video materials. In-Line View, the screen slides out a little to show useful information. Finally, in Zero View mode, the novelty can be used as a 100W soundbar.
The TV allows you to communicate with an intelligent voice assistant. There are Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless controllers.
As for the price, the Signature OLED R is very expensive – 87,000 US dollars, or approximately 6.8 million rubles at the current exchange rate.
