HP unveils EliteBook 840 Aero G8, the world’s lightest 14-inch business laptop
In March, the HP EliteBook 840 Aero G8 laptop will go on sale on the Intel Tiger Lake hardware platform: the novelty was announced as part of the digital consumer electronics show CES 2021.
The developer calls the device the world’s lightest business-class laptop equipped with a 14-inch display: it weighs only 1.13 kg. The screen has a Full HD resolution – 1920 × 1080 pixels. Buyers will be able to choose between touch-enabled and non-touch versions.
Depending on the modification, an eleventh generation Core i5 or Core i7 processor is used. The amount of DDR4-3200 RAM reaches 64 GB. Responsible for data storage is an M.2 PCIe solid-state drive with up to 2 TB capacity.
The equipment includes Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0 wireless adapters. Additionally, it will be possible to order the installation of the Intel XMM 7360 4G / LTE modem or Snapdragon X55 5G. Support for eSIM technology has been implemented.
The laptop has a Bang & Olufsen audio system with two speakers, a 720p front camera, fingerprint scanner, Thunderbolt 3, USB 3.1, and HDMI ports. Dimensions are 323.6 x 214.7 x 17.9 mm.
The laptop will ship with Windows 10 Pro operating system. The price has not yet been disclosed.
