Total Access mobile services disrupted Wednesday
Mobile phone services of Total Access Communication PCL, Thailand's second-largest mobile phone operator by subscribers, were disrupted Wednesday due to technical problems, but the issues have been resolved and services are now operating normally.
The problem occurred as the company was moving its subscriber database to a new system, affecting a large portion of the company's clients.
"This incident was unexpected and unprecedented...our technical team has been working hard to correct the situation and address the root cause of the problem, as well as bring the connection success rate up to the normal level," said Chief Corporate Affairs Officer Darmp Sukontasap.
The company said it will credit the accounts of its customers for domestic airtime usage during the 48 hours between noon Tuesday and noon Thursday, he said."Total Access Communication will do its best to ensure that the incident doesn't re-occur," said Darmp.
