Azerbaijani monitoring earthquake prediction system to be launched in 2012
The monitoring earthquake prediction system will be launched in Azerbaijan by the end of the first half of 2012, the Institute of Cybernetics of the Azerbaijani National Academy of Sciences informed.
According to information, the construction of the system in Siyazan region will be completed in the nearest future.
The construction of the fourth station, which will be located in Naftalan will begin in January 2012. The Institute uses two stations located on Gum Adasi and the city of Shirvan.
It is the biggest experiment that is conducted jointly with the Azerbaijani Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies," he said.
"The project is implemented under the patronage of Minister Ali Abbasov. The ministry with technical capabilities can provide all possible technical assistance in implementing the project.
As the matter rests in the complex systems and the largest information exchange of data between stations and servers, then, there is a need for information exchange between all four stations in real time. Resources of the satellite systems will be used for it.
