Subscribers to be able to use mobile communication services in the Azerbaijan Airlines aircraft, Azerfon informed. The project is implemented in accordance with the agreement signed by Azerfon with JSC Azerbaijan Airlines and the Swiss company OnAir.
The technical solution of the project is implemented by OnAir, which was founded and owned by the tandem of Airbus and SITA (provider of IT-solutions for aviation).
The service will be introduced on 11 aircraft Airbus and four Boeing aircraft. Voice services, SMS and data services will be available on board as well. Cost of services will meet the operators' tariffs for roaming services.
