Volume of ICT services increases by eight percent in Azerbaijan
The volume of information and communication services rendered to the Azerbaijani organizations and the public in the first quarter amounted to 789.8 million manat, the State Statistics Committee reported.
The rate of growth of this sector in the first quarter amounted to 8 percent.
The volume of communication services in the first quarter amounted to 210.7 million manat, or 9.3 percent more than last year.
According to the information, about 72.7 percent of the total volume fell to the services rendered to the population.
About 65.1 percent fell to mobile services or 7 percent more compared to 2011. The figure amounted to 188.6 million manat. The official exchange rate is 0,786 AZN/USD on April 13.
